Dare to Lead™

Dare to Lead™ Australia – Certified Facilitator

Transform your leadership approach with Dare to Lead™.

As a certified facilitator trained directly by Dr Brené Brown, I bring 30+ years of executive leadership experience across 13 industries to help you build the courage-based leadership skills your team needs to thrive in today’s complex workplace.

Whether you’re leading a small team or managing across multiple departments, this evidence-based program equips you with practical tools to navigate difficult conversations, build psychological safety, and create a culture of trust and innovation.

What is Dare to Lead™?

Dare to Lead™ is a courage-building program based on Dr Brené Brown’s two decades of research into vulnerability, courage, shame, and empathy. Unlike traditional leadership training that focuses solely on skills and competencies, Dare to Lead™ addresses the heart of leadership: the ability to show up authentically, have tough conversations, and lead with both confidence and compassion.

The program is built on four key courage-building skill sets that research shows are teachable, observable, and measurable:

  • Rumbling with Vulnerability: Learn to embrace discomfort and uncertainty as essential elements of innovation and growth, rather than weaknesses to be hidden.
  • Living Into Our Values: Identify your core values and translate them into daily behaviours that guide decision-making, especially during challenging times.
  • BRAVING Trust: Understand the seven elements of trust and learn how to build, maintain, and repair trust within your teams.
  • Learning to Rise: Develop resilience by understanding how to navigate setbacks, learn from failure, and bounce back stronger.

This isn’t theory-based training. Every concept is immediately applicable to real workplace challenges, from performance reviews and conflict resolution to change management and team dynamics. Participants leave with a practical toolkit they can implement from day one.

Why choose Julia from Australia for your Dare to Lead™ course?

As one of Australia’s certified Dare to Lead™ facilitators trained directly by Dr Brené Brown, I bring a unique combination of academic rigour and real-world leadership experience to every program.

Deep Executive Experience: With over 30 years in senior leadership roles across 13 diverse industries—including advertising, construction, IT, retail, and mergers—I understand the practical challenges Australian leaders face. I’ve sat in your chair, navigated difficult board conversations, led teams through organisational change, and made the tough calls that keep you up at night.

Behavioural Science Foundation: My Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Science with a Psychology major, combined with six years as an accredited Lifeline counsellor, means I bring both theoretical understanding and practical counselling skills to leadership development. I understand not just what leaders should do, but why certain behaviours emerge and how to create lasting change.

Proven Track Record: I’ve worked with organisations ranging from small teams to enterprises with hundreds of employees, helping leaders at all levels—from emerging managers to C-suite executives—develop the courage skills that transform workplace culture. My clients consistently report improved team dynamics, better conflict resolution, and more authentic leadership.

Ongoing Support: Unlike one-and-done training, I offer up to three individual coaching sessions post-training to help you embed the Dare to Lead™ concepts into your daily leadership practice. Real change takes time, and I’m committed to supporting your journey beyond the classroom.
